In 2026, Zalf’s debut album De Lange Omtrekkende Beweging will be released. Eight tracks together form an idiosyncratic, mysterious world: psychedelic and playful, comforting and raw, dreamy and full of fantasy. The album is about finding the courage to keep on searching, notwithstanding endless detours.

The fivepiece emerged from the solo work of Simon Stuij and is now growing further as a collective, with more room for experimentation and a larger role for Nina van Rossem as lyricist and co-lead vocalist. Simon and Nina connect through their love of playfulness in language: how words can create meaning or twist everything around again.
